Here are some tips and observations from our hike!
Nestled in between Olinda and Silvan Dam are some amazing tracks that are well worth exploring 🏃🏽

Only a few minutes out of Olinda, there are plenty of different types of tracks, through the R.J. Hamer Arboretum or Dandenong Ranges National Park. Native Australian bush or European Trees.
We prefer the Native Australian bush so we explored various trails in the National Park.
Tips:
1 ‑ Pack water and snacks! There aren't too many facilities as you walk into the National Park so it is really important to pack enough water and snacks for the day.
2 ‑ Know the hike you're doing before you start! We just went with the flow, which works for us but if you want to do any of the recommended walks, plan ahead and download the offline navigation (from All Trails).
3 ‑ Take friends unless you want to enjoy the serenity in silence. We love having fun with lots of banter and jokes, however there are some beautiful spots that you can just listen to nature.
BEWARE ‑ There are still many tracks that are closed due to the June 2021 storms that badly affected the area, please stay safe and don't go down any paths you're not meant to!!

Most important thing on our hikes are the coffee stops. This time we decided to get a coffee and some scones (with jam and cream obviously) from the Olinda Cafe, the coffee was so good we went back after the hike ☕☕☕
Remember we love you feedback so if you found this helpful let us know!
Thanks for reading ☺️🤸🏽😜
